When was the last time someone said that to you?
Has anyone, ever?
Our work is to elevate exceptional and inspirational others, to showcase people first and inclusive businesses whose culture actively includes Diversity, Equality & Inclusivity.
Ability first!
If your company, or the company you work for has strap lines or mission statements like this, yet no one has ever told you how amazing you are, the company is a lip service company with no real core values.
Lots of companies will have core values or mission statements, but how many actually live them, how many drive them through the company and hold people accountable to them?
Cor values only work when they are lived, and it all starts with the leadership team, they can spout off all they want about retention, well being but if the practice is different, you will feel cheated and lied to because, and this is one of my favourite phrases, actions speak louder than words.
Another example is when you leave a company, are you dead to them straight away or do they value you even though you have moved on?
These are examples of reality, of experiences and of lies, finding people you can genuinely trust is difficult but once you do, you can fly and the company will fly with you.
Ego very often gets in the way of progress, jealousy also can get in the way so it is important that you find people who are able to work with these emotions for the collective good, are able to support and encourage each other and help where help is needed.
Good people will work better with other good people and will welcome new additions into the company, if the recruitment process is robust enough to make sure only good cultural fit people get through, this is often more important that qualifications or experience, you can get those once you have joined, it is far better to hire the right attitude and the right values because that keeps everyone o the same page.
